James received his bachelor’s degree in Creative Music Technology from LaGrange College in 2000. He is one of the founders of Atlanta Pro AV (APAV), an audiovisual company. APAV offices are located in Northwest Midtown Atlanta and are considered a leader in the AV industry; they specialize in live event production, integration, and design for corporate clients. James serves on the board of directors for Hess Academy, where his three sons attend. He also serves on the leadership board for Aurora Day Camp, a free summer camp for children with cancer and their siblings. He enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and creating music with friends.
